Photos by Martha
These are all photos by Martha Gravois, except for the one of her, which is by John. I know there are a lot of baby pictures here, but it's for the people far away who can't believe I'm a mom.
Iola had her first pediatrician visit yesterday, which she slept through. Hopefully we'll make it to the embassy today and she'll sleep through that too. She's getting bureaucratized.
Photos of Abu Dhabi below, as well.

Dear John & Rose -
Congratulations on the birth of your lovely daughter. The photos are great. She certainly is a healthy looking baby. I thought she'd probably been born, but was surprised to find this website when I did a Google search. A pleasant surprise!

She's so cute! You do have a charming little building. Looks a lot like our Mendo log cabin, no? Just missing the climbing roses. I wish the camel had another camel buddy in Abu Dhabi!

Happy One Month Birthday little Iola!
I've enjoyed all the entries since Iola was born. Each was special. The photos are so wonderful, they help me imagine your world a little more each time. And
Happy One Month of Parenting John and Rose!
Hugs and kisses, Eunice

Dearest Rose, John, Oma Martha, Opa John,
What great pictures ! ! ! I love the veiw of the foot. Looks like she has her Great Aunt Linda's firm understanding. Seriously, Iola is beautiful and it is hard to believe that Rose and John are parents, just as difficult as it is to believe that I am a Grammy.....
Keep the pictures and the messages coming.
Rose & John I no this is no consolation but the best made birthing
plans go astray. Even after having two natural child births along comes Andrew and throws all those well trusted plans out the window by trying to come out head first.... The great news is that after 25 years(can you believe Andrew is 25?) I hardly remember it at all.
I truly wish I were closer. Oma & Opa don't worry you can't spoil Iola, so enjoy every minute you can with her and send lots of pictures. I can never have too many pictures of you guys......

I am so amazed by you three Lola's leaps and the older one's patience, ingenuity and aplomb. much love.
